How much “deadwood” do you have in your network marketing down line? Without trying to sound too unkind there is a huge problem existing among unproductive distributors who simply spend too much time trying to get uninterested down line to take some action.
For whatever reason these people joined in the first place, that initial excitement is now gone and the truth is, you really cannot do anything about it. There are thousands of peo[ple looking for a work from home business everyday and these are the people you need to target.
If someone doesn’t want something badly enough then there is no amount of cajoling from you which will make them do it. And besides, if you have to make someone take action in network marketing to improve their own lot in life, then really, forget it.
If someone isn’t motivated enough to improve their lot in life you have to accept this and move on to people who are. And there are plenty of dedicated people out there ready to build a work from home business.
The 80/20 Rule
Simply work with those individuals who really want to build a business and have “all their ducks in a row.”
Don’t get disappointed when people in your downline don’t appear to be doing anything.
Why?
Because the reality is, they may not be ready just yet, they are happy getting their products on autoship or the worst case scenario is, they shouldn’t be there.
The last point is important. When people don’t want to be there then look at your recruitment methods. Did these people come seeking you? If they didn’t then how did you recruit them in your business. Are they family or friends who you asked to take a look at your opportunity?
Don’t Waste Your Time With Non Producers!
The bottom line is and this is going to sound harsh…don’t waste too much time and energy on trying to get these people to take some action if your efforts up to this stage have proven futile.
It could actually make or break you as network marketer. In other words, the time you waste trying to inspire people who simply don’t want inspiration could be better spent with your productive people.
Because by helping the producers, you will create momentum within them which will carry on to their down line.
These productive associates will duplicate your intensity and effort and this will have a flow on effect.
Just remember that guy Pareto and his 80/20 rule. It’s a timeless statistic. And it applies just as much to a work from home business as it does in any other aspect of life.
